Discover the world’s oldest desert, home to some of the highest dunes, and explore iconic landmarks like Big Daddy, Deadvlei, and Sesriem Canyon. Enjoy a blend of adventure and relaxation, with opportunities to climb dunes, learn about the desert’s ecosystem, and unwind by the pool at the Desert Camp, nestled against the backdrop of the Naukluft Mountains.
Explore Sossusvlei on this 3 day/2 night safari into the Namib Desert, the ideal choice for those that don’t fancy camp. Departing from Swakopmund on Fridays, this 3 day tour spends the weekend in the Namib, the oldest desert in the world, before returning to Windhoek on Sundays. An action packed itinerary with stops at the Tropic of Capricorn, Big Daddy, Deadvlei, Sossusvlei, Dune 45, Sesriem Canyon, and the Solitaire Carnivore Conservation Centre whilst still finding some down time to relax by the pool.
This Sossusvlei area lays claim to so many accolades including being located in the largest park in Africa, part of a World Heritage Site, located in the oldest and only coastal Desert in the world and most famous for having arguably the highest dunes in the world. It is, therefore, no surprise that the towering dunes of Sossusvlei and the breathtaking landscape of Deadvlei are the most visited tourist destination in Namibia. Spend the day climbing the dunes, capturing breathtaking photos and learning all about the flora, fauna and history of the area before retreating to your home away from home, the incredibly cosy Desert Camp with views overlooking the stunning Naukluft Mountains.
Why join a group tour?
Group tours are ideal for solo travellers, or those looking to get the most bank for their buck. Don’t sit around waiting for a travel buddy, book your flights and your seat and enjoy a holiday on your own. While couples, friends and families are also welcome, these tours are a great chance to meet fellow travellers. Looking to get as much from your $ as possible, opt for a ‘willing to share’ option. This accommodated safari is priced on a twin share basis so by being ‘willing to share’ means you will not be charged any single supplement for travelling alone. You will then be matched with another traveller of the same gender to share your room. However if you prefer your own room then let us know and a nominal single supplement will be added to guarantee you your own room each night.
