Our trip was wonderful! Everything was super organized by Lark Journeys. The route was explained to us in detail before the trip and we were able to ask any questions to Claire. On our 6 Day Namibian Loop we were able to discover the diversity of Namibia with all the animals, landscapes and cultures. Many thanks to our travel guide Franco, we have made many unforgettable impressions and discovered a lot more than we imagined. We can recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see a lot in a short period of time. Traveling during the coronavirus was not a problem at all, all safety regulations are observed and made available. Thanks again for everything Lark Journeys and we look forward to our next trip. When a major US tour company cancelled the Namibia segment of our month-long visit to southern Africa, we looked for a Namibian tour operator to set up an itinerary for us. I contacted 4 companies, and Claire at Lark quickly and firmly positioned Lark at the top of our list. We emailed back and forth, often several times per day. She listened to our interests, worked within our constraints and crafted the perfect itinerary for us.When we arrived in Windhoek, a Lark driver met us and took us to the hotel. Claire met us there and went over our itinerary in fine detail, letting us know what to expect at each stage.The accommodations she selected were perfect, from city hotels to a tented camp, to a spectacular oasis of a lodge in the middle of nowhere. The food everywhere was fantastic, especially in the most remote places, we don't know how they do it.Abel, our driver/guide was the perfect person to show us Namibia. He is smart and articulate with a wry sense of humor. He loved showing is his country, the little bands of wildlife that inhabit the starkly beautiful landscapes, the surprisingly modern cities, the fascinating people. He explained things at just the right level of detail, and was comfortably silent when there was nothing more to say. He made sure that all accommodations were correct and that we were comfortable. He was an excellent driver on the 5 hour journeys over mostly gravel roads. At the end of our trip we felt we knew Able well and had as good an understanding of Namibia as we could expect after only a week.We love Namibia and a lot of this is thanks to Lark. September 2022

The tour included the main objectives as others, but what really made all the difference was the guide, Petrus. He was super well informed, passionate about culture and history, knew and presented facts from different points of view. Visit to township was fantastic as he also was one of the locals, so was really easy to get ‘on the inside’ of the place. Highly recommended, especially with Petrus as guide!

Ourvery polite and reliable guide gave us an informative tour of the city highlights. and was very accomodating to stop at a site that was not on the scheduled itinerary. Thank you for your flexability Abner.

Peter picked me up on time for my Windhoek city tour. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Germans and South Africans in Namibia. He made sure to stand us in the shade. We saw the contrast between the old town and the shanty town. We had BBQ beef with a deep fried bread roll and salad for lunch at a co-operative market. You can him any question and he had an answer. We would give this company, and especially Claire and Abel, ten stars if we could. We were travelling from the US and were hesitant at first to book a safari in Namibia, but Claire answered every one of our questions and made adjustments to give us the best possible experience. Once we got to Namibia, Claire took the time to meet with us personally and review all details of our journey. What a lovely personal touch! The entire trip was outstanding! All sites were incredible, the pace of the trip was well-justified, lodgings were well-chosen, and it felt like even the nature cooperated - we had outstanding wildlife viewings (elephant herds every day, black rhinos by a dozen, cheetahs, lions, leopard, and countless giraffes, zebras, and all types of antelopes). And our beloved guide Abel was the best companion we could've wished for!

Sitting at the waterhole of Halali Lodge during sunset, watching elephants arrive and play around. Later more elephants, rhinos, hyenas and smaller animals stopped by. Lifetime memories created! The guide of Lark Journeys was very knowledgable of the wildlife and species including smaller animals, birds and plants. We really did not expect so much input. It is absolutely recommendable to go with a guide, their knowledge is making such a difference compared to self-driving tours! Animals that are hard to spot, such as leopard we would have never seen, if we did not have the input of what to watch out for. Additionally, the guides of Lark Journeys are so professional: they really try to make the trip so easy and 100% carefree for you including taking care of all the admin stuff for lodging, eating etc. If you look at what you get, the price is absolutely well worth it! Gregory was our guide during an amazing trip in July/August 2017. I believe one of the reasons it turned out so great was his presence. We gave him quite the tough job organizing a trip for a big group of 12 people from different countries with different wishes and he managed to make it an unbelievable experience for all of us!

We left Gregory free to create an awesome itinerary that would cover most of Namibia's Highlights and he did exactly that. Of course you need to understand you'll be driving allot of kilometers but the Cars were very well equipped for the task at hand! Greg has great local connections so every location had allot to offer. You like adventure? Chill? Mix with the locals? Everything is possible.....

Our guide took us on a very insigthful journey around the city of Windhoek, which gave us an opportunity to discover those places we would like to visit with more time. Then we went out to the Townships and discovered how they developed and the early strides being made to improve conditions there.One of the highlights was a stop at one of the local markets in the Township, where we pushased some ingredients for a typical Namidian lunch. We learnt about the short history of Namidia as an indelendent country, from the very early beginnings as the first settlers arrived, through conflict and ultimately independence. September 2022
