How It Combines With Namibia

Angola is best added to a remote northwest Namibia itinerary, typically including places like Kaokoland, Epupa Falls, Marienfluss, or the Skeleton Coast. Travel is generally guided and supported due to the remoteness, limited infrastructure, and the requirement for permits. Most travellers add three to five nights in Angola as part of a more extended custom safari.

When to Travel

The dry season, from May to October, is considered the best time to travel, as it offers improved road conditions and cooler weather. Border crossings are possible at Ruacana, Oshikango, or near Epupa, depending on the route and timing.
