Don’t have enough time for Sossusvlei, Etosha or Damaraland? Our City Tour offer the perfect alternative for those with limited time. The Windhoek City Tour can also be an add-on to one of our other itineraries and a great adventure by itself.

This comprehensive 3-4 hour tour gives the visitor an overview of the historical sites in the Windhoek centre as well as an overview of the Katutura township where the majority of the city’s residents live. Whilst on the tour, you can look forward to going to see places like the House of Parliament-National Assembly, Parliament Gardens, Old railway station, the Craft Centre, Christuskirche and Alte Feste (Old Fort). The Old Cemetery in Hochland Park is also worth stopping by especially for history enthusiasts.

From the city centre, you will head towards the Katutura Township. Here you will see a glimpse of life in Windhoek’s largest suburb. Boasting of people from a number of different cultural groups, Katutura is the place to be if you want to mix with the lively different cultures of Namibia. Here you will visit the “Single Quarters”, a local market where you can enjoy a taste of the Namibian speciality – Kapana, which is Namibian beef cooked by the local vendors. Also included is a stop at a local community empowerment project.

This is a must-do experience for any visitor of Windhoek looking for an adventure.
